Our Training Courses are geared to the following key areas in the Diamond and Jewellery industry:
Rough Diamond Foundation Course
This course provides for the student a basic understanding of Rough Diamonds and the Diamond Industry as well as a practical grounding in the handling and recognition of the various diamond qualities, shapes and colours. The course also covers such related topics as Certification, Branding and Conflict Diamonds.
Rough Diamond Valuation Course
This course is aimed at Diamond Buyers, Government Departments, NGO's and any other individuals or organisations that wish to improve their knowledge of the Diamond world.
This intensive course takes the student through the process of sorting and valuing a parcel of rough diamonds. It covers all aspects of valuation from sizing, run-of mine 'break up' of the parcel into market qualities and colours etc. through to the use of price books and valuation techniques. It also includes the theory of individual large stone valuations using the 'rough to polished' pricing method to value each stone and also covers conflict diamonds and certification.
Diamond Retailers Course
This course is aimed specifically at the retail jewellery sector where there is a growing demand for sales staff to be fully conversant with Diamonds and Gem Jewellery. It will enable them to sell to your customers from a position of knowledge and close sales with confidence. The course content also covers precious stones, pearls and jewellery design.
Each course encompasses a specific discipline and provides a complete overview of that particular field of Diamond Knowledge.

Rough to Polished
Course
Follows Stones through the entire manufacturing process, Fee £165
per student
(Max no of students 15)
This course takes the student on a 'theoretical journey' with the rough
stone through all the stages of diamond manufacture to the finished polished
outcome. It covers initial rough valuation, marking, cleaving, sawing,
bruting, polishing and finally an analysis of the price of the polished
stone compared to the rough.
(This course includes handling of
rough and polished stones).
