at the foreign and commonwealth office to ensure effective implementation
of the 'Kimberley process' and the monitoring of diamond imports and exports
within the UK /EU. |

retail management experience with some of the biggest organisations
in the UK. Networking solutions for all jewellery valuation and technical
scenarios. |

acting as insurance valuators and appraiser for jewellery companies
based in Hatton Garden, London. |

diamond valuation, sales and manufacturing experience with the
DeBeers group. |

- Rough Diamond Valuations and Marketing.

Worked as Senior Government Diamond Valuator to the Republic
of South Africa. Responsible for all Market Valuations, Exports and
Negotiations of De Beers productions within HOH, Kimberley (1999-2000).
·
Trained and worked as a Rough Diamond Valuator / Department Controller
with the De Beers Central Selling Organisation in London. (1974-1996).
Valued and sorted all the major Global Rough Diamond productions (including:
Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Russia, Australia [Argyle]
Tanzania [Williamson], Sierra Leone, Zaire [DRC], Lesotho).
· Managed the Diamdel Outside Purchasing Valuation Dept based
in Antwerp Belgium. (1990 - 1992). Responsible for all the CSO outside
purchase 'valuations' from Africa and Antwerp prior to their shipment
to the CSO in London for sale.
· CSO Negotiator to Argyle (Western Australia) Sierra Leone (West
Africa) Botswana (BDVC) Namibia (CDM).
· Rough Diamond Buyer Sierra Leone. (Note: All goods purchased
were exported legally through the Government Gold and Diamond office)
Stephen
Field: Senior Consultant - Rough Diamond Training and Conflict
Diamonds.

· Worked as Government Diamond Valuator to the Republic of South
Africa. Responsible for the valuation and monitoring of the South African
Stockpile held by De Beers at their London Offices
(1999-2001).
· Worked as Managing Director of the South African Bureau of
Minerals and Gemmology. Provided Certification and Monitoring on a global
basis to assist the Diamond Industry to overcome the problems associated
with the Conflict Diamond issue (2000).
· Managed diamond training courses for the South African Customs
and Revenue Services and the 'Scorpions' whilst a GDV to RSA.
· Trained and worked as a 'Diamond Cleaver' and conversant with
all stages of diamond manufacture.
· Worked as a Rough Diamond Valuer and Training Instructor with
De Beers Central Selling Organisation.
Leslie Hymas: Rough and Polished Diamond Consultant to Dianet ltd.
· Worked as Government Diamond Valuator to the Republic
of South Africa (1999)
· Trained as a Diamond Cleaver and was part of the team operating
with Alex Lieberwitz in the development of the Piermatic / Bruting machine.
· CSO negotiator for the Williamson Mine and Sierra Leone shipments.
· Worked with Gaby Tolkowsky creating the CSO valuation system
for Large Stones.
· Polished Training: Liased with Trade Schools, which were supplied
by the DTC in Israel and Antwerp. Regular Factory visits and Seminars.
· Fully conversant with all manufacturing techniques. Full studies
with practical manufacturing of Botswana cubes and Russian manufacturing
techniques.
· +10 Carat goods: Ten years controlling Large Stones in a local
factory with five years as the manager.
· Five years manufacturing control in Lisbon, Portugal with visits
to assess the CSO sights in production.
· Assisted the Director of the CSO Polished Division in the purchase
of Rough Sight boxes and controlled their manufacture at several factories.
